As per your concern let me inform you that alimony is required to be paid regardless of the fact that the wife is working.

Thus in case where the alimony is being paid on a monthly basis, the Supreme Court of India has set 25% of the husband's net monthly salary as the benchmark amount that should be granted to the wife.
Moreover, there is no such benchmark for one-time settlement, but usually, the amount ranges between 1/5th to 1/3rd of the husband's net worth.

Hence, upon a monthly basis the alimony your wife will be awarded with will be Upto Rs. 20,000/- per month but not more than that. This is done with an intent to provide for the same living standards as her husband's.

Moreover, since you're wife is not willing to reside with you because of her contractual job (or even if there was any other matter) you may approach to the court of law and file for a petition known as "Restitution of Conjugal Rights", for the purpose of calling back your wife to the matrimonial home and if in case she does not respond to the summons then court will take necessary steps. No courts can pressurize you to relocate just because your wife wants to live in a different city.

Hope It Helps!

"how much should husband give her as alimony"

not a legal query.

why give divorce first of all, let her prove her allegations, and what do you get by getting divorced, there is no use for a husband to get divorced. and regarding the alimony there are few judgments of hcs where alimony was not granted, collect them and check whether you can use them in your defence,
