Hi,
Who all are legal heirs. Only Sons or Sons and Daughters also?
As per islam law, What is the percentage of property needs to come to Daughter and what is the percentage to Son after his death. (If one son & 1 daughter he have)
And one more querstion? As per islam law, Is Grand daughter (son's daughter) is also eligible for her grand fathers property or only Grand sons are eligible? Please let me know.

Under Islamic Law - Sons and Daughters both inherit the residue of the property remaining after giving shares to other quranic heirs, with sons taking double of what daughters take. In the presence of son - son's daughter would not take anything.
Eg : If a person dies leaving behind Father/Mother/Widow/1 Son and Daughter and a Son's Daughter. THe property would devolve like this. Widow takes 1/8th. Father takes 1/6th, Mother takes 1/6th - totalling to 17/48 - the remaining is 21/48 which would be divided among son and daughter with son taking 2/3 of 21/48 and daughter 1/3 of 21/48.

If father and mother were expired, only widow, 1 son and daughter are there then how the property proportion will be?
