Quick Summary
This discussion explores the legalities surrounding shared family water wells, including minimum common area requirements and the potential for one person to claim exclusive ownership after many years. It highlights that easement rights typically protect long-term users, even if property deeds are in a grandfather's name. For specific advice, consulting a local advocate is recommended due to the need for detailed material facts.

In all those types of controversies, the rights of the easement protect all those who are using the well for generations.  Contact a local advocate for proper remedy.
