Understanding warranty period applicability

Respected Members,

Companies who make & sell  product advertise some warranty period.   e.g. 2 Years.

Now let's say warranty start date is 1-Jan-23 and end date is 31-Dec-25.

Now my product fails on 30-Dec-25 and same day I intimate the company (Say on their email or WA channel or opening a ticket on their website whatever applicable) that the product has failed. However response from the company now will be after the warranty period.

So if the reporting of issue is done within the warranty period, does law state that the buyer is still entitled for warranty even if the actions on it will be after the warranty period?

Note - I am just trying to understand what does law state in such a case. I do not have any pressing issue like that. I mean none of the purchases that I have done in past ever failed at the end date of wararnty period.

Thanks.

What was the reply by the company, have you raised the issue or are you posting hypothetical question?

A hypothetical and academic topic for debate.
