My father made a will in which he stated that the house that we are living in will go to my mother after his death and after my mother's death, the house will belong to me. I have two sisters who are married.
My father passed away 8 years back and my mother is still alive. Now, my mother wants to transfer the house to my name as she feels that her son-in-laws might create problems and ask for share in the house after her death. To avoid this, she wants to legally transfer the house to me. The house is still in my father's name (all electricity bills etc are in my father's name only). The house is located in New Delhi, India.
What is the procedure of doing this? My mother does not want to invlove my sisters or their families in this.
Also, my father's will is registerd in court and clearly states that the house go to my mother after his death and will be passed on to me after my mother's death and my sisters will have no right on the same.
