subject : To offer a bribe which sec of prevention of corruption act apply and to accept a bribe which section of prevetion of corruption act apply.

There is a vigillance inquriry against a person. Person offer a bribe to inqury officer. What section of prevention of corruption act apply to person who offer to give a bribe.

Sec. 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 applies to a person who offers bribe and sec. 7 of the PC Act applies to a person who accepts bribe.

Mr Jain has elaborated the law.  But these proviosions are relevant only if the person to whom bribe is offered is a publoic servaint and the offerer is trapped by CBI/Vigilance Bureau

both are public servant. there is a vigilance inqury against ward officer. ward officer offer bribe to inquiry officer. then what kind off section apply to ward officer who offer a bribe as per prevention of corruption act

dont try to be smart. It was not properly ansered that is why i rewrite the query. Which section apply to a person who offer a bribe is not properly answered and that is why I rewrite the query. Instead of saying that it is rewrite better to answer the query. If you think that someone approch you for business that this is nt rite way to do soo
