Time limitation for lease land

I've purchased a property in 1994. This property is seller's ancestral property. Then they have given the land for 5 years time period lease to Mr.X  in 1960 and again given 5 years time period lease to Mr.Y in 1965.

After 1970 they got back the land possession. But they have not canceled the lease agreement.

In 1994 I purchased the land. Now I wants to sell the land.

Is it mandatory of old lease cancelation?

Kindly advise me.

The previous registered lease agreement is not a hindrance for the current owner to sell his property epecially if there was  no objection from the leaseholders at the time of sale of property to you.

You can proceed with the sale of your self acqired property

The lease deed was for a period of 5 years from 1960 which 0has expired in 1965. Then it is stated to have been renewed for another period of 5 years i.e., till 1970. What is its status now i.e, in 2025 ?

The property was in lease till 1970.  And you purchased it in 1994.  For the above 30 years, from 1994, are there any objections?  Is the property in your possession? All these 5 decades

Incomplete and disjointed facts cannot to lead to form proper opinion and oblige.

Lease has been completed, is party still in premise or vacated, if he has vacated premise is enough.

I didn't received any N.O.C. from the lease owner's at the time of registration. Because the possession is with the seller from 1970 to 1994.

The query suggests deeper issues. What is the context for this query?

After lease period the actual owner's is in possession for the past 55 years. Now I want to sell my property. But I cound't get legal openion to sell. The advocate is asking me to cancel the lease agreement which was made on 1965 & 1970.
