Threat of Kill

A neighbour of me always threat to attack me(Saying tumko chorenge nahi marenge).This time i managed a video in which he tried to attack me with stamp.I was talking with him politely but he was ready to attack me.If other neighbors did not come in between he might killed me. 1)Can i file a case of attempt to kill. 2)Can this recording video will be help as a evidence 3)How this video help me in future if he attacked me.
