suspension of sentence after conviction in 1stappellatecourt

Husband got Acquitted in the magistrate court but when wife has appealed to sessions court he was convicted u/s 498A & sec 4 of Dowry Prohibition act. Please let me know the scope of Suspension of sentence after conviction in 1st Appellate court i.e the sessions court pending appeal to High court u/s 389 crpc. Answers are highly appreciated.

Suspension of sentence means he wud come out of jail on furnishing the bail. If the sentence wud not have been suspended then he wud not have come out of jail. Mostly in less than 7 years of jail sentence, order as such is given while granting bail during appeal.
