Surname is mismatch in aadhar and sale deed

Dear Sir / Madam, My name in Aadhar is: Venkateswarlu Payidimarry My name in Saledeed is: Venkateswarlu P Is there any problem when i want to sell property? If yes, How can we handle this situation? Actually surname was not expanded in SaleDeed. Thanks & Regards, Venki

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common issue where a surname differs slightly between an Aadhar card and a Sale Deed, specifically Venkateswarlu Payidimarry on Aadhar versus Venkateswarlu P on the Sale Deed. Potential buyers or authorities might flag this discrepancy when selling the property. Experts suggest two primary solutions: obtaining a notarised affidavit confirming both names refer to the same individual, or requesting a rectification deed from the seller to correct the surname on the Sale Deed.

You can get a notarized affidavit stating that both the names are one and the same and attach it with the sale deed.

You can obtain a rectification deed from your seller because your surname is not expanded, but only written as P.
