Company A (Transferor company) is having Registered office in Gujarat.while Company B is having its RO in MUmbai. Company A wants to amalgamate with company B. Whether stamp duty is leviable on the order of amalgamation in both Gujarat and Maharashtra. whether any set off of stamp duty is available under the Act. Further, whether stamp duty is also levaible in the state in which property of Comnpany A is situated. in such a case, whether any set off of duty is available.
