Speedy trial

could any body tell me how much money is required to apply for speedy trial in kolkata HC for 498a case?

I know it will vary but approx.

Depends of Lawyers. 2000/-, 5000/-, .. ... ,

My opion is,

Please do it either party-in-person or by hiring a pleader among your relatives/friends (who are non-advocate) as per Section 32 of Advocate Act.

Even lawyer charges more are also don’t know laws properly.

If you see in this forum, a lot of non-lawyers taught them laws.

Most of lawyers generally have poor academic records.

My opion is,

Hello Biplab,

I did speedy trial for 498a from Calcutta HC as party in person. It took me around 3000 to 4000/- for the complete procedure including getting certified copies. You may get it done for even lower if you can draft your petition by yourself. Then it will take hardly 1000/- Good luck.Don't believe big mouths. But believe in yourself. A big thank you to ROCKY.
