Hi.
Simple question. If a Hindu married man dies intestate, then who is his legal heir?
The man lived in Mumbai, died in 2002 leaving behind his wife and 1 daughter.
He also has brothers and sisters who are married and living in Mumbai itself. Are the brothers and sisters also his legal heir?
Is only the wife a legal heir or is the daughter also the legal heir?

Yes, wife and daughter are 1st line legal heirs.
