Should i pay fees ?

Sir,

Reg one criminal case an X amount has been fixed for fighting the case from start to end till judgement of case now case has been compromised by both the parties In the court in first date itself, already paid 50% fees now the case has been compromised shud v pay the remaining fees as adv is demanding for the same.

Pls advice.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether you should pay the remaining legal fees when a case is compromised on the first date, before significant work is done. The consensus is that if you engaged an advocate, you are liable for the full agreed fee, even if the case settles quickly. Therefore, you should pay the outstanding balance to your solicitor.

You have engaged the services of an advocate for the case hence you are liable to pay the fees in full even if the case was withdrawn in between.

Yes, you have to pay remaining 50 % of fee to your advocate.

Yes.  You have to pay full fees.
