Service related issue

Hi all

The service center is delaying to deliver the product. For an example instead of 2 weeks, now they took more than a month. Will this issue comes under bailment?

If the service is delayed intentionally then you first issue a legal notice and demand the relief, failing which you may decide about escalating the matter through legal forum

Role of a "Service centre" and "delivery of product" are two distinct / different subjects, be clear.

Bailment is defined under section 148 of Indian Contract Act,    which reads as

"Section 148.   "Bailment", "bailor" and "bailee" defined.

A "bailment" is the delivery of goods by one person to another for some purpose, upon a contract that they shall, when the purpose is accomplished, be returned or otherwise disposed of according to the directions of the person delivering them.

The person delivering the goods is called the "bailor". The person to whom they are delivered is called, the "bailee".

Explanation.—If a person already in possession of the goods of another contracts to hold them as a bailee, he thereby becomes the bailee, and the owner becomes the bailor of such goods, although they may not have been delivered by way of bailment"

The facts posted by you vis-a-vis query is sketchy.

Default in services can be treated with consumer complaint. Just file the consumer complaint and get your delay compnasated

you can give complaint through online. see this wesbite and follow it.

Facts posted suggest deficiency of service. Why you want to make it a case of 'bailment'?
