Sale/purchase of immovable property

I am been told S.C. of India has made the sale and purchase of property through Power of attorney illegal.
Query..does the same apply for transfer of share in immovable property.

Quick Summary
The Supreme Court of India has ruled that the sale and purchase of immovable property through a Power of Attorney is illegal. This ruling also extends to the transfer of shares in immovable property, meaning that a registered sale deed is now required for valid property transactions.
