If you make an application for contesting in any election from the banner of any political party, the leader of the party who choses the candidate asks the willing contestant, that how much money you can spend for the election.
In such is the situation, the salaries and other benefits including corrupt practices alone could reimburse the amount spent in the electio. So, it is only a business to get the profit out of the money invested and noting more. So, Politics is not a Service to the society or Nation, but with some exceptional cases of National Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru etc., etc.,
