Response to section 245 of it act

Tax deposited at SBI counter got reflected in 26 AS. However, even after 3 years, Dept withheld tax refund under Section 245 of IT Act. How to write a suitable reply to AO and get refund without antagonizing Dept. Already sent disagreed click thru portal.  But no refund is there.

You can be in touch with your auditor or any other auditor who will assist you with the procedures to be followed for refund of the taxes deducted.

You can claim an income tax refund within 12 months after the end of the relevant assessment year. However, the following conditions will also apply to the tax refund claims: a) You can claim a tax refund on the income tax paid within six successive years
