Reservation

Greetings to all.

My query is regarding application of reservation to already notified posts .

My client has appeared in exam under general category. Interviews are scheduled from next month. Now his community has been granted ST status. Can he claim st status at time of final selection? Please enlighten

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether an applicant who sat an exam under the general category can claim ST status for final selection if their community is subsequently granted ST status. Advice suggests that a request can be made, and benefits may be claimable even if the caste was notified after the application closing date. A separate query about a child's reservation entitlement was also raised.

You can produce the certificate and make request to consider under reserved category.

He can get the benefit if the card was notified as ST before closer of last date of application

Even if the caste was notified as ST  after the closer of the last date of application, he can claim.
