Remove spouse name from service register

I am state government employee. I have applied divorce 7 months back, process going on. What is the procedure to remove husband name from government service register?

Submit an application to your employer for deletion of his name from nomination and dependency. It is better to wait for decree of divorce before submitting the application so that you can attach or enclose the copy of order/judgment.

Even before delivery of verdict you may apply for change of NOK in service dossier through HoD.

In my considered opinion you should wait for the decree of divorce. It is in your own interest that a copy of the Judgment and decree is furnished to the office.

Your application for removal of your spouse name from your service records may not be entertained without a decree of divorce, hence it would be pertinent that you enclose a copy of the divorce decree granted by court, until then you may have to wait.
