Relinquishment deed

I jointly along with my mother owned a flat with my share 75% & her share 25%.My mother wants to give up her balance share of 25% .Whether she can execute relinquishment deed for 25% share in my favor?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the process for a mother to transfer her 25% share of a jointly owned flat to her child. It confirms that a mother can indeed execute a registered gift deed or a relinquishment deed to transfer her share in favour of her child. Specific details for Maharashtra indicate a stamp duty of ₹500 and registration fees of ₹200 for such a transfer.

1. Mother can execute REGISTERED Gift Deed in your favor for her 25% share.

In Maharashtra: Stamp Duty = 500/-  and Registration Fees: 200/-

Mother and her child have the same blood relation. So. mother can relinquish her share in favour of the child.

Please elicit your valuable jurisprudence on the opinion.
