it's possible to recover money that was sent to the wrong person using UPI, but you need to act quickly

You may approach the account holder, the receipent of money.

you may be able to retrieve it. Here are some steps to take:

1. Contact the recipient: Reach out to the person who received the money and ask them to refund it.

 2. Contact your bank's customer care: Inform your bank's customer care about the incorrect transaction and ask for their assistance.

 3. Use the UPI complaint resolution mechanism: You can file a complaint on the UPI app or website, and the issue will be investigated.

4. Contact the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India): NPCI is the governing body for UPI transactions. You can reach out to them for assistance.

5. File a complaint with the Ombudsman: If the above steps don't work, you can file a complaint with the Banking

Ombudsman. Keep in mind that the process and timelines for resolving such issues may vary. It's essential to act quickly and provide all necessary information to facilitate the retrieval of your money.

Additionally, to avoid such issues in the future, always: - Double-check the UPI ID or account number before initiating a transaction. - Verify the recipient's details. - Use a secure and trusted UPI app. -

Keep your UPI app and bank account information up to date.
