If your friend has received summons from court ask him to appear before court and clarify the details.

he may not be knowing the background  details hence it is better to ascertain the details from the court records after visiting the court.

Let your friend may appear before the Court and seek clarification.

If you fail to appear in response to a summons, several consequences may occur: 1. *Contempt of Court*: The court may hold you in contempt, leading to further legal action, fines, or even arrest. 2. *Warrants*: The court may issue warrants for your arrest, allowing law enforcement to bring you before the court. 3. *Default Judgment*: If you're a defendant, the court may rule in favor of the plaintiff by default, as you didn't appear to defend yourself. 4. *Legal Consequences*: Depending on the case, your absence may lead to adverse legal consequences, such as forfeiture of rights or assets. 5. *Additional Penalties*: You may face additional penalties, fines, or sanctions for failing to appear. 6. *Impact on Credit Score*: Failure to appear in court can negatively affect your credit score. 7. *Future Legal Issues*: Ignoring a summons can lead to more severe legal problems in the future. If you've missed a summons, seek legal advice immediately to address the situation and minimize potential consequences.
