Tr.cmp: A combination of different lawsuits pending in different courts.

CMP 151: This section authorises the Police Officers to arrest individuals without a warrant or a Magistrate's order if they have knowledge of committing a cognizable offence and believe it cannot be prevented otherwise.  This is a preventive measure to maintain public order.

She has applied before high court to transfer the case to her place by filing this transfer CMP and by filing another petition under section 151 cpc she is praying to stay the proceedings before the trial court till disposal of the CMP.

This means:

Your wife has filed a transfer petition in the High Court.

She is asking the Court to shift (transfer) your divorce case from the current court to another court (usually near her residence).

📌 Law:

Under Section 24 CPC, High Court has power to transfer any case from one court to another.

SCC Online

📌 Common reasons:

Wife unable to travel

Convenience (very common in matrimonial cases)

Safety or financial difficulty

⚠️ Important:

Filing this does NOT automatically stop your divorce case, unless High Court gives stay.

2. CMP u/s 151 CPC

👉 This is a supporting/interim application.

📌 Meaning:

Section 151 CPC gives inherent powers to Court to pass necessary orders for justice.

📌 In your case, this CMP may be for:

Stay of proceedings in lower court

Interim direction (like stop hearing till transfer decided)

Any urgent relief

As opined and rightly advised by learned experts, term "Tr" used by you stands for "transfer" of the case from a Court to another subordinate Court within the jurisdiction of High Court.

However, the term "CmP" may be used for "Civil / Criminal Misecellenous Petition"  which is a local abbreviation.

It is appropriate to consult the lawyer engaged by you, or some other local prudnet lawyer, as neither the facts nor law applicable can be presumed to form proper opinion and oblige.
