Rectification deed

My mother in law transferred a property to my wife through settlement deed. She passed away recently. Now we noticed that my wife's initial was wrongly mentioned in the settlement deed. How do we rectify it without my mother in law?
Can we do it with a self affidavit. The legal heirs for my mother in law are my wife and her sister

Quick Summary
A property settlement deed has an error in your wife's initial. Since the original owner (your mother-in-law) has passed away, you need to rectify this. The process involves obtaining the consent of all legal heirs, which includes your wife and her sister. You will then need to register an additional rectification deed at the Sub-Registrar's Office (SRO).
