Dear Sir/Madam,
I am staying in a Delhi village which is in lal dora village abadi. The house is quite old and is an ancestral property built in 1940s. The house have 5 partitions. All members living separately in these parts having different electricity and water connections. I am staying in my grandfather's portion (Area 65 sq yards approx.). As the house is old and my family members increased, everyone needs more space, the kids too needs more space for studies etc. Now when I decided to reconstruct my portion, I did some study and learnt that need to get permission from Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and get the map approved as I didn't want to take any risks. When contacted the MCD approved architects, they asked me for ownership documents like sale deed which I do not have. I only have a Lal Dora certificate which my father applied to get the water and electricity connections in 1980s but that is not applicable. Then, when I asked what's is the option for me, they said very few people takes building plan approved in lal dora areas so go ahead for the construction and when anyone comes from MCD etc, just pay some amount to settle the case. So, I am little nervous now how to proceed.
