Pwd contract - claim settlement money after contractor death

Dear experts,

Please provide clarification for the below scenario -

Public works department (PWD) contractor kept one of his son's name as nominee while taking contract works. after his dismissal, son claimed the amount for completed jobs as well as partially complted jobs.

Will the other children (or legal heirs) also have stake in this amount (like insurance or PF) ?

Thank you for the help in advance.

dear ,

nope no other heirs are entitled for there share ,nominee will get the whole amount

but if the deceased person had made any will about  his bank balance or money then they are eligible to that money as according to the will.

Thank you for yur reply. But i dont think you are correct.

You are contradicting with below posts

https://www.jagoinvestor.com/2010/10/will-your-nominee-get-the-money-on-your-death.html

https://www.lawyersclubindia.com/forum/Bank-nominee-is-owner-of-bank-accout-52180.asp

it is clear that nominee is just a trustee for bank accounts, PF, insurance etc.

I wanted to confirm the same for PWD contracts..

Thank you

Normally the nominee recieves the payment on behalf of all the legal heirs and has to share it with other legal heirs.

Thank you Sir. Will that be the case for cancelled/completed PWD contracts as well ?
