Property related

My brother has filed apartition suits. We are 4 brothers and 1 younger sister. There is a house in our site. As I was looking after my parents and the property I wish to claim the house to me.

You cannot claim exclusive rights in the house property just becaquse you hadbee4n looking after your partents.Taking care of the parents is the filial duty and not a compensation or a consideration in return.

If the house property belonged to your father, then nobody can claim any rights in it at least not during his lifetime

If the property belonged to your father and he died intestate then his property rights will devolve to his all legal heirs equally and anyone of them can file partition suit and claim his share.

Yes.  All your siblings, with your mother if alive, have equal rights to the property, and you alone cannot claim it.

Whether the house is ancestral or self acquired by your father/parents ?

If it is self-acquired whether there is there any will for the property or it is intestate ?

If the house is self-acquired intestate all 5 siblings have equal share.

Whose property - father's or mother's? Is it that both the parents are not alive?
