Property

Dear Members,

Suppose ‘A’ purchased house from ‘B’, after some years B was arrested by ACB while taking bribe. In interrogation he revealed all his assets purchased through bribe money.

My question is that the house sold to A will be seized by police or not.

Thanks & Regards,

Simply the answer is "NO".

If  house was purchased by A  through registered sale deed ,then police , ACD or Income Tax Dept can not seize or take over the possession of house .They can inquire from B regarding the money invested to purchase the questioned house.
