promissory note towards a gift.

if someone gifts something to someone and they are unwilling to accept it, therefore executes a promissory note for the value of the gift. will that promissory note be enforceable?

A gift deed is appropriate. A prommissory note confirms a debt owing to someone.

So don't give a promissory note.

If the promissory note is already executed then you can realise/recover the same as per the promissory note.
