Police verification

1) In attestation form for police verification, they have asked have you ever been fined by the court of law? I should select yes or no. Does traffic spot fines paid for not wearing helmet comes under this?

2) if the answer is yes, I understand this, but If the answer is no, then what type of fines comes under the court of law?

Dear Querist,

Traffic Challan is a minor offence and will ordinarily be ignored and if you have paid a spot fine and the car owner/ driver is released it is not a criminal charge.

The fines should be of such a nature that are necessary to be added in the form. For eg. some railways related fines could be mentioned along with the fact that the fine has been paid
