Police personnels son and daughter reservation is constitutionally valid or not

Tamilnadu government is reaady to provide reservation for children's of police personnels in  police recruitments,is it constitutionally valid or not?.

Quick Summary
This discussion examines the constitutional validity of the Tamil Nadu government's plan to offer reservation for the children of police personnel in police recruitments. While an amendment to existing rules could make it legally valid, concerns are raised about its potential violation of the right to equality and the promotion of the caste system, especially given Tamil Nadu's existing high reservation percentages.

After passing an amendment to the present rule by the Government, then it is valid.

If the governemnt has passed any such orders then it is a government policy, held legally valid and cannot be challenged.

Is there any such government (union or state) policy qua reservation for kids of their employees ? I have all doubts.

It is advisable to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer with relevant records for appreciation of facts, professional advise and necessary proceeding..

I do not think that it is valid under the Constitution. But it will continue until it is challenged in a court of law. Supreme Court has placed an upper limit of 50% for all kind of reservations. But in Tamilnadu 69% are reserved.

It is basically violative of right to equality.

It promotes the caste system.
