Police involvement against order

Hi experts, can police stop cultivating land (as per wish of politician and opposite party) even after a permanent injunction order is received by the plaintiff ? If possible as per which section police can act against permanent injunction order. If the plaintiff files a contempt case, what action will be taken on the police ?

Thank you

The role of police is to maintain peace and tranquality in their area / jurisdiction, which may take proactive action to avoid any sort of law and order problem amongst litigating parties in cultivating land under dispute.

However, police can help restraining the party to the lis, against which the jurisdicational civil court has been pleased to grant permanent injunction.

It would be appropriate and better to consult your lawyer who is well acquintted with facts and circumstances of the case as well as orders passed by the concerned Court.

You can file WRIT before the High Court and get an order directing the police not to interfere with life and liberty.
