Physical assault hapned in 2013 may, compalint?

Hi,

Lets say a physical assault happened in 2013 may and if that person who did the assault agrees on some video that he has done physical assault. Can the case be filed against him now in the police station?

Case may be registered depends upon the injury sustained , nature of violence and its punishment as per ipc if it was so grievous and life danger then the fir may registered against the accused , supporting documents were MLC and the acceptance in video recording , if the injuries was minor then no fir can be filed against the offender .

Physical assult case is to be registered in the local Police Station where the incident occurred within 24 hours from the time of incident along with a medical report.

In case of a physical assault, there has to be some injuries, even there is no injury, how will it be proved that there was a physical assault on a day one year ago?, this will not be entertained by police because of the time factor.
