Personal loan recovery

SBI cannot legally recover 6 months of pending loan payments from your salary all at once. Indian law, specifically the Payment of Wages Act, sets clear limits on how much of an employee's salary can be deducted for loan repayments. The maximum deduction allowed is 50% of your wages in any single pay period. 

This rule exists to ensure you have enough income to cover your basic living expenses. You cannot be left with no salary at all.

If the bank or your employer attempts to make excessive deductions, you have the right to file a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman or take legal action in a competent court.

No.  A bank cannot recover the loan amount for 6 EMIs at a time if the loan period is not completed.  

Visit Branch Manager personally and settle the manner of recovery amicably as convinient to you.

Bank cannot compel to recover outstanding amount in the manner as stated by you.

- No, even if there is a last reminder to clear dues even then, with a court order (decree), only 1/3rd
of the Salary can deducted(attached) and not the whole salary.
- Salary under CPC is attachable in exceution of such court order (decree). 
- Things including provident fund, insuarance, allowance, gratuity is protected by law (CPC). 
- A significant portion of salary is protected.
