Patwari misdeeds

Patwari is modifying khasra records and creating grounds for legal disputes (by taking bribes). What is the procedure to complain against patwari (and RI)? Is directly to High Court under Article 226? CM Helpline? What are other options available?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the issue of Patwaris manipulating land records, often for bribes, leading to legal disputes. It outlines the procedure for lodging complaints against Patwaris and Revenue Inspectors (RIs). The recommended first step is to gather evidence and submit a written complaint to the District Collector. If this does not result in action, pursuing legal recourse through the High Court under Article 226 or a civil/criminal suit in the district court is suggested.

You collect the evidence and make a complaint in writing to the district collector about it, if there's no action then you can plan to take legal action.

What is the legal action in this case? Article 226 in High Court or a civil/criminal suit in district court?

Yes.  You first complain this to the District Collector concerned and if action not taken, then you can file a case in court..
