Partition deed

Hi,

Could you please clarify whether a photocopy of the Partition Deed can be used for selling the property to which I am a rightful owner (as described in the partition deed).

Thanks,

No, you have to show all original documents to buyer and on sale  original papers of property have to be handover to buyer.

No is the reply to your question.

Is the partition deed registered or not?

Yes it is registered with necessary stamp duty..The question is that if the original document is with my brother and that I possess a copy (colour photocopy) of the Partition deed, will that be sufficient to carry out sale of my property.

thanks

You should / may obtain certified copy of the partition deed from concerned Sub-Registrar to establish your title and share in the property under sale.

Yes, obtain a certified copy from the SRO.
