Oriental Insurance Co Ltd playing dirty!

In spite of Award of 1.5 lacs Insurance Ombudsman against the OICL the company is not complying with though it's binding.

What next! Please help.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a situation where Oriental Insurance Co Ltd has failed to comply with a binding award of £1.5 lacs from the Insurance Ombudsman. While an insurance company cannot appeal an ombudsman's verdict, the complainant is seeking advice on how to enforce the decision. The recommended next step is to approach the Ombudsman directly to request an order for the concerned branch manager to comply immediately and settle the claim.

An insurance company cannot appeal against the verdict given by the insurance ombudsman. The verdict is binding on the insurance company. If the complainant is not satisfied with the award, he can challenge it in court. However, neither side can appeal an ombudsman's final decision to another ombudsman. You also can't go to court to appeal the ombudsman's decision just because you disagree with it

You can write to the Ombudsman to direct the concerned branch manager to comply with its orders immediately and settle the claim.

Well advised by experts, I agree.

Approach Ombudsman to comply his order.
