No rent agreements from last 15 years

I have rented my shop from last 15 year to same tenant, and I have rent agreement for 1st year only, then after I dont have any rent agreement.

in this case, now if I tell him to signed the agreement so its valid ???

or he can able to take my shop from me ???

please guide me on this.

Quick Summary
A landlord has rented out a shop for 15 years with only the first year's agreement in place. They are concerned about the tenant's rights and whether a new agreement would be valid. The advice given is that the tenant's status is still valid as long as rent is being received, even if it's in cash. It's recommended to start receiving rent via bank transfer to create a clear record.

Till the time you are receiving rent he is a tenant, I hope you are receiving through check or online payment.

The non-existence of a rental agreement does not affect the legal rights of the tenant or the landlord.
