Nil ec in encumbrance ceetificate

When I try to search with document number of sale deed to get Encumbrance certificate in registration website it was showing NIL EC. Could you please explain what is meant by NIL EC?

Quick Summary
A 'Nil EC' on an Encumbrance Certificate typically means that no transactions have been recorded for a specific property during the period you searched, or since its registration. If you encounter this, you can usually apply for the EC with the relevant authorities, often for a small fee. In many places, this can be processed quickly, and some states even offer online applications through e-Seva centres.

That shows that there are no transactions recorded in the register with that authority for that particular property during the period stated by you or since the date of registration of that sale deed.

So for such cases, how to get the EC on this property?

You have to make an application with such prescribed fees, basing on years of search.  In many offices, the EC is being issued immediately.   In some states it can be obtained through online e Seva centers.
