Whether the "One" wrong spelling do change status in the name of your father on the PAN Card ?
I think printing and delivery of PAN Card has been outsourced by the authorities, however, find it out in your locality and discuss, if you feel so strong about one mistake in the name "spelling" of your father, which has bothered you so much.
However, it is not a legal dispute / issue / problem for consideration and obligation of experts on this platform.

Thanks for your reply Dr. vashishta.Yes,one letter mismatch nowadays discards your Aadhar & PAN linking. For legal/property/banking/insurance matters this is sufficient to reject your application. If your are signing with your digital signature with a token on a government portal like customs etc,it denies the application or even Import Export License renewal.People like us should know the process to get the correction done on PAN in absence of proper documents.

My name as on my PAN card and Aadhar card are different. I have not faced any problem anywhere. My Aadhar card and PAN card were linked several years ago. In fact I got my PAN card first when there were no Aadhar cards. I am filing my income tax returns ever since the requirement of linking PAN and Aaadhar cards with no problem whatsoever. Once a mutual fund refund was refused. All correspondence were by email. I wrote "dont go by computer-output, consult your superior". I got the refund.

Change in one letter, while writing a vernacular name, does not make it a different name. the issue, if at all any procedural. You need to contact the competent authority or an agency which has the expertise to take care of such mistakes.

Since the discrepancy is only one letter in your father's name and there is no dispute regarding the identity of either you or your father, the matter is generally curable through documentary proof rather than requiring fresh adjudication. However, until the records are made consistent, difficulties in Aadhaar-PAN linking, banking, digital signatures, customs filings, and other government services may continue.
