Name change

Hi sir, I am a converted to muslim after marriage. But all my study certificates are with hindu name i,e sandhya sree. I am a central government employee i changed by name in my office records . Now I want to continue my further studies PG . Can u please help me by which name I should do my further studies

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the query of a central government employee who converted to Islam and wishes to pursue further studies (PG) using her new name. Her existing educational certificates bear her Hindu name. The advice given is to follow the official procedure for a name change, which includes publication in the government gazette. Once the name change is gazetted, she should use this new name for all future records and correspondence, including her postgraduate studies.

Your recorded name shall have to be continued.

Have you discussed the issue with the educational institution concerned?

Being a central government employee you need to follow the procedures for change of name  including getting it published in the government gazette publication.

Once your name is changed as per government gazette publication, yo need to follow the changed name only in all your records and correspondences including the proposed further studies.
