Mv tax, road tax on shifting the car to other states

I have a four wheeler which I purchased in Odisha. Now I am retired and want to settle in Andhra Pradesh.  Whether I have to pay MV Tax/Road Tax if I want to  use my  Car  in Andhra Pradesh permanently with Odisha Registration Number?  Kindly advise.

Rao garu,

1.You have to file prescribed application to concerned RTA where C book was registered and obtain Police no objection certificate in duplicate.

2.After coming back to AP, you have to submit the same to jurisdictional RTA for transfer of state and pay prescribed fees of life tax (remaining)

3.After C boook is transferred you have to claim refund from RTA, Odishha.

I am afraid all these can not be done by retired employee alone without his friends or relatives help.  If there are RTA agents, it is not a problem.  In AP it is not a problem, but getting refund from Odishha may be tedious.

Happy retired life.

Well advised by Mr. Prasad, you may follow his suggestions.  Nothing more to add.
