Muslim wife's property rights

Hi Guys,

I am a muslim and love married to a girl from UP, we opted not to take any dowry and she will bring property from his father.

Now we have two kids and her father is denying for any property, I am asking is there any legal right that she can file to get his right.

PLease suggest

In her father's lifetime she has no right upon the property - only on his death does the estate come to her. However if the father attempts to divest her of her share on death by a will - he would be able to will only 1/3rd estate and not the entire one without her consent
