hi i was hit by a truck while driving my car and i had to be operated. my problem is that my car insurance had expired but there was no damage done to the truck but my car was completely damaged. a fir was immediately filed, the truck driver was arrested. can i get some compensation from the truck owner pl help

Yes. You can file a claim petition under sections 166 or 163-A of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 claiming compensation from the truck driver and also its owner. The expiry of insurance cover of your car is not material.
