Maximum duration between stamp duty and registration

This is for Karnataka . I have paid the Stamp Duty on 6th Oct and went for registration on 8th Oct however we found that there is some issue in the property mutuation which will take 01 month to resolve .

Now since I already paid the stamp duty on 6th October and the challan validity is showing 7 working days , can we use the same challan to register the property after 01 month or we need to take the refund of the stamp duty and then redo the stamp duty payment.

Its validity is 6 months from the date of purchase.

As per rules samp duty paid is valid for six months. However, registration of the document should be completed within 4 months from the date of execution of the deed. You can get another two months more to present the document for registration by applying for condonation of delay. Challan validity mentioned by you may not relate to registering the document. However, you may seek clarification from the Registrar's office.
