Dear Sir,
As per the section 5(3) of teh Act a woman can claim benefit before 6 weeks and after 6 weeks from the date of expected conveyance (total 12 weeks) .
If an employee had taken only 2 weeks before delivery, can she claim remain 10 weeks as benefit.

I Think the balanace/remaining leaves may be combined with leave of any other kind, but only if the request for such leave is supported by a medical certificate from the Medical Officer. I am not not sure but, we have to confirm.
