I am an indian citizen socially married to a bangladeshi in 13june, 2012. When I tried to register my marriage the marriage officer(alipore court, kolkata) wanted NOC from bangladesh high commission. Bangladesh high commission in kolkata refused to give my husband(bangladesi) the NOC as their point is 'its your personal matter we dont give any noc for marriage purpose'. We had a talk with District Marraige officer in Alipur court, he also said without NOC registry is not possible and also other countries are giving NOC so you have to submit NOC to register your marriage. We have contacted bangladesh highcommision in delhi and after hearing our requirement of NOC they said concern person is not available so contact us later on. When we contacted later on they have not received our phone(also my emails are not responded so far). We have all the other documents ready for registry purpose. Recently we have registered our marraige in Bangladesh. Now we want to register in India. Both of us not interested in change of citizenship. He wants long term visa to stay in India as He has filed for US Immigration visa(already processed for more than 2yrs so another 2yr may be required to get it).
Can you help us in this matter and register our marriage in india? What is the procedure or how can you help us?
