Marksheet verification

My PGDM marksheet is original and authentic.

I just want to remove the star mark from the marksheet due to back paper on that paper/subject by making a another hard copy of the marksheet and all the other things will be same as it is in original marksheet.

Can i do it. Will this come in to light if verification conducted.

Quick Summary
The user is asking if it's permissible to create a new hard copy of their PGDM marksheet to remove a star mark indicating a back paper, while keeping all other details the same. They are concerned about whether this action would be considered tampering with original records and if it would be discovered during verification. The post also references Indian Penal Code sections related to forgery and cheating.

This is called as tampering of original records.

Whoever commits forgery, intending that the document or electronic record forged shall be used for the purpose of cheating, shall be punished with imprisonment of either descripttion for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.

The offence is punishable under sections from 463 to 471 IPC.
