Lien on goods

We are making advance payment to foreign  supplier with one year delivery lead time. Is it worth to make registration of lien on manufactured goods at foreign territory to protect own interest.

What if it is Indian supplier

Pl advise

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the feasibility and benefits of registering a lien on manufactured goods in foreign territories when making advance payments to suppliers with long delivery lead times. It considers both foreign and Indian suppliers, suggesting that while possible, it may require disclosing prior contracts and potentially registering the deed abroad with mutually agreeable clauses. Consulting a local lawyer is recommended for tailored advice.
